Shrutinandan Homecoming Festival

To celebrate 20 years of its musical journey Shrutinandan organised a Homecoming Festival on 5 Feb. 2017. Festival consisted of two sessions - Morning Session at 11:00am to 1:00pm at Shrutinandan Premises and Evening Session at Nazrul Mancha at 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Ex-students reported at Shrutinandan premises at 11:00am. They visited their School and Guruji gave Shrutinandan Certificate to all the Ex-students at Guru Jnan Prakash Sanctum. There they enjoyed their Lunch and reported at Nazrul Mancha at 1:30pm. Evening Session started with the sloka recitation by Guru Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty follwed by Prayer Song by 250 students (aaprox) and watering of an infant tree by Panditji, Guru & Creator, Shrutinandan along with Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, Vice President, Sri Baren Sen, member of Governing Body and Smt. Chandana Chakraborty, Guruma & Principal, Shrutinandan. After this inaugural item Panditji felicitated all the singer Ex-students with a beautifully designed memento. Then performance session started and all the singer Ex-students presented their songs of various genres like Khyal, Thumri, Bhajan, Rabindrasangeet, Raagashrayee Bangla Gaan, Bengali Modern songs and self composed Hindi songs. Two CD Albums "Soore Sourabhe" and "Chole Jaaoya Din" by Madhuja Chatterjee and Abhijit Mukherjee respectively had been released by eminent singer Shubhamita Banerjee and Pandiji. Another Album "Nutan Kore Gorhbo Thakur" by Chandana Chakraborty had also been released by noted film director Sri Goutam Halder through portraying of video presentation of one song. Pandit Vijay Kumar Kichlu, Sangeet Ratna had been felicitated by Guruji and Guruma. Kichlu sahab also addressed to the audience with his soulful speech. The students of Shrutinandan gave presentations of songs like a composition on Raga Hansadhwani (composed by Guruji), a Tagore song, a South Indian composition and a Bhupali Sargam Geet. The programme ended with National Anthem.
